We are very proud of our commercial Honey Bee apiaries and have been very lucky this season 2018-19 with bee hive colonies prospering despite the lack of Winter/Summer rain in the Hunter Valley region. We think this was due to the permanent water source, loads of native plants as we are surrounded by National Park.
Many of our hives have been left alone with super and triples to ensure that the colony has a full 10-20 frames of honey to go into the cold of Autumn and Winter 2019.
AUSTRALIAN NATIVE BEE
Many of the local Australian Native Bee, also known as Australian Stingless Bee, are being developed for small crops of Native Bee honey.
